Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join our high-performing team at our Mt Thorley site.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Prepare clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches, specifications, models or verbal instructions. Involved in projects including infrastructure development along with research and development projects. Ensures the accuracy of engineering drawings leaving the business with the key objective being to achieve goals and objectives of the Hedweld Group Strategic business plan. Minimum Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude Able to work effectively both as part of a team or autonomously Willing to listen and learn advanced manufacturing techniques Minimum 5 years working in Australia in a similar role. Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault software. Experience in producing and cataloguing procedures and technical support documentation ideally within a heavy mechanical environment Understanding of considerations for safe machine design and design risk assessment Well-developed IT and associated software experience Experience in Heavy earth moving/mining industry Experience working to Australian standards for lifting equipment, fabrication and mechanical structures - standards include AS 1418, AS 3990, AS 4991, AS 1554 What's in it for you:
