This position is suitable for young trainees looking to enter the mechanical and electronic industries while working and building world-class, high-end technology equipment.In this role, you will be responsible for:Assembly of mechanical and electronic modulesAssembly and testing of high-volume build to print units for production and prototypesBasic testing of circuit functionalityUsing hand and power tools to assemble components according to engineering specifications and assembly instructionsFollowing the EM Solutions Quality & WHS ProceduresContributing to the continuous improvement of assembly methods and processesUndertaking other ad-hoc duties as requiredCore skills and competencies we are looking for:Strong mechanical aptitudeAbility to assemble a wide range of mechanical componentsAptitude to work in strict accordance with documented methods and processesOutstanding fine motor skills and high level of attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsReliable and good work ethicProficiency with hand and power toolsPhysically fit and able to be on your feet most of the dayIdeally, you will demonstrate:Previous experience in mechanical and electronics module assembly (desirable but training will be provided)Ability to read technical instructions and drawingsElectronic cable manufacturing experience (advantageous)IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883 or equivalent certification (highly regarded)As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to confirm their right to work in Australia (Australian citizenship) and successfully complete pre-employment checks (professional references, police clearance, proof of qualifications, and ITAR screening).EM Solutions does not accept unsolicited resumes/candidate profiles from external agencies or suppliers via any method.
