Task & Responsibilities Daily tasks and duties associated with this role will include: Delivering professional drafting work under the supervision of senior mechanical/structural engineers and draftspersons.
Exercising judgement and initiative in the application of engineering drafting principles, techniques and methods to achieve project/task outcomes.
Identifying client needs and developing appropriate scope of works and proposals for peer review in conjunction with senior draftspersons.
Representing the company to clients and working on sites in a professional and safe manner.
Forming good working relationships with Adra Eng clients.
Identifying, assisting and/or developing technical systems within the business that improve productivity and quality.
Acting within Adra Eng's quality system, policies, procedures and technical standards.
Contributing to the development of Adra Eng's Strategies, team goals and participate in initiatives and actions as required.
Participating in and supporting improvement initiatives and championing Adra Eng's Values.
Developing technical specifications in accordance with relevant industry standards.
Conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments in conjunction with senior draftspersons/engineers.
Providing support to engineering resources.
Checking work of other draftspersons.
Qualification & Experience To Be Considered For This Opportunity, You Will Require A relevant Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher OR 3 years recent and relevant experience.
Experience in mechanical and structural design.
Proficiency in the use of Inventor, AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
Basic level of expertise & knowledge in Engineering Design & Drafting techniques.
Proven ability to work in a close team environment with experience in developing and maintaining relationships with team members and clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
A commitment to continued professional development.
Current driver's licence and prepared to travel as required.
A reasonable understanding of Australian Standard AS1100.
Practical knowledge of industrial plant and its associated hazards & risks, including Permit & Safety procedures.
