About the Role: As NPE continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Mechanic who is eager to work for a leader in the provision of pump, power, and compressed air equipment and services.
This is a full-time position based out of our branch located in Para Hills West, with regular travel to site.
You will perform assembly, testing, repairs, and maintenance to plant and equipment, which includes mine site dewatering.
Key Responsibilities: Undertaking maintenance and repair of equipment.Carrying out engine diagnosis, diesel and mechanical repairs, and servicing.Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a timely manner.Performing inspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage.Accurate recording of servicing information and other documentation relevant to the role.Connection and testing of pumping equipment.Undertaking ad-hoc servicing, installs, and repairs in the field as required.Attending site to perform work according to operational requirements.Delivering excellent customer service and championing the NPE brand.Skills and Experience: Relevant Trade Certificate – Mechanical or Mechanical Fitting.Experience in diesel mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.Ability to read manuals and schematics, document repair notes, and interpret parts information.Able to work unsupervised with limited direction.Forklift ticket (or willing to obtain).Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction, or Heavy industries.Experience in electric pump repairs, pump and system installations, diagnostics, duty testing, well point installation.Experience aligning pump ends to drive systems.We believe in providing a great employee experience.
