About the Team Our Land121 maintenance team consists of Mechanics and Field Service Representatives that work together to provide maintenance support to the Land 121 Fleet of Vehicles.
Reporting to the Team Lead and then through to the National Fleet Manager Land 121, this team forms part of our greater Service Division.
About the Role The position of Mechanic is responsible for completing repair & maintenance tasks on RDA supported vehicles and subsystems at MILVEHCOE and Customer Sites as required.
The main scope of this role is to complete Service & Support repair and maintenance tasks in accordance with relevant Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Standards, and WH&S requirements.
As a Mechanic, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
Complete servicing, maintenance and repair tasks on customer owned, RDA supported vehicles and associated equipment in accordance with technical publications and based on standard workshop practice and initiative;Complete repairs of vehicle systems and sub-systems, which may including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and mechatronic parts;Documenting work order information in RDA's ERP/ISSDB;Complete vehicle movements within the facility in accordance with site specific and licencing requirements;Utilise and maintain the required tooling, equipment, and assembly aids as required to complete maintenance activities; andMaintain the safe and efficient storage of required parts, tools and equipment in the workshop areas.
Support the Parts and Warehouse team to complete the movement, delivery, and inspection of incoming/outgoing parts and consumables. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
+3 years' experience in the following;Maintaining a fleet of (light, medium and heavy) trucks/ armoured vehicles (tracked and wheeled);Servicing and repairing diesel engine and heavy trucks/equipments and all sub-system components, specifically from European manufacturers;Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence;Ability to read and interpret production drawings, manuals, and technical documents;A high level of self-motivation, initiative, the ability to work unsupervised (at times) and willingness to participate and contribute as part of a team; andEligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
