Mechanical Supervisor Job DescriptionThe post holder will be an experienced and skilled Mechanical Supervisor undertaking and supervising a range of flight line and maintenance activities on aircraft. Capable of following approved data in accordance with the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE). Shows flexibility required within Line operations to ensure aircraft are prepared and ready to meet the daily flying program.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure that aircraft are prepared for the daily flying programme and supervise flight line operations throughout the day maximizing availability whilst adhering to strict operational and HSE regulations.Undertake and supervise maintenance required to schedule and highlight any issues, escalating as required. Report on any impact to the wider programme.Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and take direction appropriately.Maintain own and teams task authorisations for working on an aircraft in accordance with AMC requirements.Engage with PDR process and maintain an interest in self-development.Show sound communication and people skills to ensure essential information can be communicated effectively.Maintain personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities.Engage in the local applicable Error Management Processes.Key Accountabilities: Performance indicators – Ensure the effective provision of Part 145 activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Continuing Airworthiness.Completion of activities – Ensure all Part 145 activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT/paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.Procedure/standards – Comply with the Part 145 Exposition, its associated procedures and standards and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes, as required.Safety Management System – Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all Part 145 activities.Management System Assurance – Ensure Part 145 activities are compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework, including supporting Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits.Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework.Contractual Requirements – Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements.Qualifications/Functional Knowledge: Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent.Typically, 5+ years' experience including type, classed as fully competent with all required Authorisations in place.Requires general product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area and a basic knowledge of those elements in other areas.Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area.Hawk Composite Flight Servicing - Pass.Trade 'Q' Course - Pass.Leadership - Foundation.Human Factors - Standard Course Specification.E&PW Awareness - Standard Course Specification.ITAR Awareness - Standard Course Specification.IT Literate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
