The Role We are looking for an exceptional, dynamic and compassionate Director of Home and Community Services to join our team! With a seat at the Executive table, you will be at the forefront of delivering the highest standards of care, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment with the organisation's goals. Your leadership will be critical in building a culture of continuous improvement , where innovation and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. This includes harnessing our award-winning next generation virtual care platform to enhance service delivery and support equitable access to care, especially for individuals in rural and remote communities. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the virtual care platform is seamlessly integrated into the Support at Home Program, empowering clients with access to high-quality care regardless of location. This innovative approach is critical in breaking down barriers to service delivery and ensuring that all clients, regardless of geography, can access the services they need when they need them.
You will champion the implementation of the new Support at Home Program , guiding the design and execution of our approach with a focus on scalability, compliance with regulatory standards, and the ongoing enhancement of client outcomes. This is your opportunity to influence the direction of a high-profile initiative that will shape the future of aged care services, enabling clients to live independently and with dignity, while also advancing the broader objectives of the organisation.
This role will require an individual with a demonstrated ability to lead organisational transformation , particularly in environments that demand agility, collaboration, and high-performance standards. You will work closely with a highly engaged Executive Team , as well as senior leaders from various disciplines, to create a cohesive, forward-thinking approach to service delivery.
In this influential role, you will report directly to the CEO , providing strategic oversight and ensuring that the organisation remains at the cutting edge of service excellence. You will collaborate with an established leadership team to drive innovation, maintain regulatory compliance, and elevate our reputation as a leader in aged care.

Key Responsibilities: Shape the Future: Steer the strategic direction of our home and community services portfolio, ensuring every program aligns seamlessly with our vision and goals. Inspire Excellence: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Champion Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements in service delivery, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and best practices. Adapt and Thrive: Ensure our services are scalable and adaptable in a constantly evolving sector, with a strong emphasis on cost-effectiveness, growth and sustainability. Empower Lives: Uphold our person-centred approach to care, empowering clients to make choices that promote their independence, dignity, and well-being. Implement Key Programs: Spearhead the implementation of the Support at Home program, ensuring it meets client needs and supports our strategic objectives. Leverage Technology: Harness the power of our virtual healthcare platform, iAgeHealth, to enhance service delivery and improve client outcomes. Key Requirements: Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead a profitable community aged care business portfolio, driving long-term strategic goals with vision, precision, and strong commercial acumen. Inspirational Leadership: Exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills, with a track record of fostering collaborative and productive working relationships and inspiring high-performing teams. Results-Driven: A strong track record of achieving operational and performance targets, improving service delivery outcomes, and ensuring the highest standards of care and client satisfaction. Regulatory Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of aged care legislation, funding models, quality standards, and current sector reforms and how these translate at a practical operational level. Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written and oral communication skills, capable of engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, including the board of directors, senior management, and both internal and external partners. Financial Stewardship: Expertise in managing financial resources, balancing client needs with the financial and operational constraints of the organisation. Risk Management: Proficient in proactively identifying financial, operational, and reputational risks, and developing effective and dynamic mitigation strategies that are adjusted to meet changing needs over time. Quality Commitment: Deep understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, with a commitment to ensuring our services consistently meet or exceed these standards. Desirable Background: Tertiary Qualifications in Health and or Business and previous experience working in the Aged Care Sector. What's in it for you? This role requires interstate travel; therefore, a full unencumbered driver's license is also required.
