About Department The M&CH service is provided by a team of nurses located at Sale, Maffra, Rosedale, Heyfield and Stratford. The nurses work independently with their families and maintain a strong team approach for overall service provision.
About the Role The position will work collaboratively to provide a high quality, effective Maternal & Child Health service (M&CH) at CGH.
Duties Promote and comply with the M&CH service in accordance with the Framework of the Department of Health Maternal and Child Health Service.Work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated person-centred care leading to timely and effective client discharge.Apply the principles of culturally inclusive, family-centred practice and primary health care to promote optimal child and family health and development outcomes.Mandatory: Qualifications, Skills and Experience Registered nurse & registered midwife holding current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AuthorityPost Graduate Maternal & Child Health qualificationProven and significant experience as a Maternal & Child Health nurseUnderstanding of and experience in application of the M&CH Key Ages & Stages FrameworkPreferred leadership/coordination experienceCurrent Driver's License (evidence must be provided)Clear Police Check regarding any criminal record will be required prior to finalisation of the appointment and updated every three (3) yearsClear Working with Children Check will be required prior to commencement and updated every five (5) yearsApplication Please attach your resume and cover letter to your applicationStatement addressing Selection Criteria including qualifications, experience and Leadership and Technical Capability Requirements as outlined in the position descriptionFor questions regarding the position, contact Women's and Children's Nurse Unit Managers, Kim Costin & Kellie Gartung at or All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate and obtaining a Working with Children Check.
