About the Role: Woodside Energy are seeking a Marketing & Trading Analyst, with particular experience in oil, to join our team in Singapore, Houston or Perth (relocation considered) to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis to support decision making within the Marketing and Trading division. This is a great opportunity to develop comprehensive analysis of oil markets whilst gaining exposure across LNG and domestic gas with some opportunities in new energy as well.
In this role, you will be given the opportunity to provide analytical insights, maintain market balance models, develop thought leadership, and input into Marketing and Trading decisions and strategy at Woodside.
Duties & Responsibilities: Key responsibilities and duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and maintain information and database on oil production forecasts, demand outlooks and pricing trends to inform business decisions Analyse global oil markets, producing and supporting studies and opportunity recommendations for Marketing & Trading Help with maintaining the portfolio supply and sales tracker for marketing and trading decisions Provide valuation for pricing analysis for new deals and project opportunities Support in development of the oil marketing strategy and ongoing management reporting Provide information to meet internal and external reporting needs Be prepared to support ad-hoc work as required by the business Skills & Experience: The successful candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) preferably in a quantitative subject such as finance, business, mathematics, economics 3+ years experience analysing global oil markets fundamentals and pricing Highly analytical, with a strong attention to detail Excellent Excel skills with modelling experience preferred Critical thinking: Ability to objectively analyse a wide range of data and information to solve problems and form conclusions based on analysis Ability to work in a dynamic environment, supporting multiple projects simultaneously and delivering to deadlines Recognition & Reward: What you can expect from us:
