About the Role As a key member of the Brand and Growth Marketing team, the Marketing Specialist, Community & LAM is responsible for developing and delivering the community partnerships, brand sponsorships, and local area marketing plans for P&N Group's consumer-brands, BCU Bank and P&N Bank.
The Marketing Specialist will deliver high-quality community engagement, marketing initiatives, and brand activations, to drive brand awareness and consideration, as well as customer growth.
The role will be responsible for executing and managing a range of partnerships and sponsorships that drive commercial revenue, lead generation, customer retention, and strengthen BCU and P&N's overall value proposition.
With a passion for community outreach and customer-centricity, the Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Brand and Growth Marketing team to embed the brands in our local communities, deepen community connections, strengthen brand awareness, consideration and reputation, and drive customer acquisition.Responsibilities include Partnership and Sponsorship Strategies Lead the development and execution of community partnerships and brand sponsorship strategies, working closely with key partners and sponsors to amplify our brand's visibility and drive brand awareness, consideration and customer acquisition opportunities.Lead and continually optimise commercial partnership awareness and engagement across internal and external channels via content creation, public relations, social media content and other promotional initiatives.Manage, influence, report on community sponsorship strategy, stakeholder relationship development, budgets, activities, and processes.The role will be responsible for the sponsorship portfolio, as a key contact for community and sponsorship partners.Community Engagement Framework and calendar Develop and deliver P&N Group's Community Engagement Framework, consisting of community partnerships and brand sponsorships – finding alignment and synergies across brand, customer, and corporate goals.Manage and maintain an annual calendar of activities, initiatives, and activations to leverage partnerships and sponsorships to drive brand awareness, brand engagement, and customer acquisition.Support the contract review process and execution of new partners and sponsor contracts.Relationship and stakeholder management Collaborate and working with internal and external teams to co-create customer-centric omni-channel experiences for our partners, and work with the Sales Office and Operations to develop plans with the Consumer COEs as required.Local area marketing Develop and deliver dedicated local area marketing plans for the P&N Bank and BCU Bank branch and lender networks.Execute national marketing campaigns at a local area level to drive awareness of the BCU and P&N branch network.Develop and maintain local area marketing toolkits and resources for branches and local lenders to leverage and self-promote.Deliver innovative Local Area Marketing activities to drive traffic and sales at a branch level.
Manage the process for design, production, and delivery of marketing materials including POS collateral, campaign materials, and branch and lender toolkits.Retail branch marketing Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with retail branches including Area Managers, Branch Managers, and Relationship Managers.Act as the primary point of contact for these stakeholders, providing proactive brand and marketing support, resources, and engagement.Evaluation and reporting Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of partnerships against predefined goals and metrics.Prepare reports and presentations summarising partnership activities, achievements, and challenges.Use evaluation findings to recommend improvements or adjustments to partnership strategies and activities.Event and activation management Manage all local area events and activations, in line with the local area marketing plan and community engagement framework.Develop and deliver a range of events and activations including branch openings, anniversaries, refurbishments and pop-ups.Campaigns Support the delivery of the national campaign and advertising approach to drive brand, customer acquisition, product uptake, and services in market.
Support the campaign management of various marketing campaigns including brand, product, broker, and business banking.Build and roll-out marcomms assets across digital platforming including web, social media, apps, search, email marketing, and POS systems.Plan, build, manage and optimise paid search and paid social campaigns across acquisition and brand-building activities.Work with external agency to manage programmatic display, video, radio, cinema, TVC, etc.Risk and compliance Responsible for ensuring marketing and campaign activity adheres to the company's risk and compliance policies.Ensure all creative, content, contracts, and materials are provided to the relevant internal teams for approval, as needed and engage with external legal as required.Agency and partner engagement Effectively maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficiencies, effective outputs, and ROI.Establish and manage relationships with relevant agency and partner contacts to ensure seamless briefing and delivery processes.Ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs on time and within budget parameters.What will you bring? A degree in Marketing, PR, or a similar discipline is required.Previous experience in a similar role within the marketing discipline.Significant marketing experience, with a focus on local area marketing, sponsorships, community partnerships, campaigns, or communications.Experience working within a financial institution is highly regarded.Experience with corporate sponsorships and brand partnerships, as well as delivering community initiatives and programs.Experience supporting and managing small and large-scale local and regional campaigns across digital and traditional channels.Understanding of campaign optimisation and identifying opportunities to improve conversions, data capture opportunities and the customer experience.Experience across digital marketing specialties including digital marketing strategy, campaign management, social media, content marketing, digital advertising, marketing automation and customer lifecycle marketing.Strong analytical and data visualisation skillset.Experience delivering PR and media strategies to drive consumer brand and marketing objectives.Experience working within a team and with key internal and external stakeholders.Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to understand key target audiences and engage with them effectively and influentially.What we can offer you There's life at work, and life outside of work – and we understand that.P&N Group is committed to creating a satisfying and fulfilling working environment, offering employee benefits and development opportunities that reward and help you perform to your potential and expand your experience and learning.
