Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Marketing Manager for a 12-month max-term contract to deliver upon the brand and acquisition strategy for The Sydney Morning Herald & The Age. You will develop and deliver high-impact ATL and TTL campaigns that strengthen brand affinity, boost engagement, and grow subscription revenue.
In this role you will develop and execute consumer marketing strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels, leveraging consumer insights and media planning. As a strategic, data-driven, and detail-oriented marketer, you will manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Collaboration with internal and external creative, digital, and media agencies will be key to delivering compelling, impactful campaigns.
Day-to-day you will: Assist the Marketing Lead in delivering the Metro Brand & Acquisition strategy, through the shaping and delivery of insight-fueled strategic and tactical programs of work.Lead campaign strategy, development and execution across all media channels, ensuring alignment with objectives and data-driven results.Develop a growth-focused media strategy, optimizing spend across traditional and digital channels to maximize audience engagement.Ensure consistent brand application across the customer journey, providing guidance and maintaining clear brand guidelines.Work closely with Tier 1 creative, media, and research agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns under tight deadlines.Report on the performance of campaigns and other initiatives, providing insightful and accurate updates to executives in a timely manner. Highlight potential optimizations and adjustments to ensure campaigns continue to meet objectives and drive success.QualificationsProven experience in a brand marketing role.Proven ability to develop and execute high-impact ATL campaigns that meet commercial goals.
