Marketing & Events Manager

The role of the marketing & events manager is to showcase Budgewoi Hotel & Lago in its best light.
The employee must stick to brand standards.
We want to be current with our socials and ensure that we are reaching our intended demographic for each venue.
The employee will work closely with the general manager in creating and planning events as well as the execution.
The candidate must have at least two years of experience in marketing within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:Creating and posting content on social media platforms.
This must be daily and appropriate/appealing for the intended demographic.Take videos and pictures for content on the site.Be available to be onsite for certain events.
This may be on evenings or weekends.Creating posters to advertise events, promotions, and products in the venues.Daily checks of all posters in venues to ensure that they are current and relevant.Working closely with our entertainment agent in sourcing talent for live music and special events.Create and plan events for the venues to increase trade in low periods.Operate the phones for the venues and look after reservations for the venues.Maximise the capacity of seven rooms.
Ensuring that we are on top of add-ons and offers via the platform.Weekly reservation summary sent to the managers for the venues for the weekend ahead.Reply to all feedback on seven rooms.
Any negative feedback and responses are to be approved by the general manager and in some circumstances the general manager will reply directly.Monthly competitor analysis for local competition on pricing and offerings.Organise functions for all venues.
This includes meeting and liaising with the client and communication between venue managers and the client.
All requests for changes to offering/pricing/minimum spend must be approved by the general manager.Following up with clients after their functions to get feedback.
This must be passed on to venue managers and responded to.Driving events and contacting possible leads (e.g.
contacting real estate agents to push them for Melbourne cup or EOFY lunches/dinners at Lago / bistro).Summary of Role Requirements:Flexible hours available2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWorking rights required for this roleExpected start date for role: 01 November 2024Expected salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
