Your Opportunity
As the Marketing Communications Officer you will be responsible for:
support the delivery of the TAFE Queensland Marketing Plan;
contribute to the promotion of TAFE Queensland through the development and management of multiple marketing projects; and
provide effective and efficient project management and marketing support to facilitate the implementation of short term projects across the TAFE Queensland Marketing team.
This position reports to the Manager, Marketing.
This is a Permanent Part-time opportunity, .
FTE ( hrs mins per week)
The position will be based primarily at Southporthowever you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Apply project management techniques to set priorities and develop work plans, with an emphasis on delivering agreed outcomes on time and within budget with a focus on student recruitment activities
Leads the coordination, staging and promotion of special marketing events including but not limited to Open Days, Expos and Webinars.
Use analytics to report lead capture and outcomes of events and campaigns to the Marketing Manager, contributing to a process of continuous improvement.
Implement effective and informed marketing and business-to-business (BB) strategies to contribute to engagement with employers
Utilise Marketing Automation (Marketo) to successful drive leads for events and supports state-wide learning in Marketo
Use Marketing Automation (Marketo) and nurture streams to encourage conversion to enrolment and re-enrolment of past students, including managing mailing lists and ensuring communications are compliant with the SPAM Act and time management of unsubscribe requests.
Liaise and consult with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including faculty directors, managers and teachers, and provide advice on marketing and communication activities for the region and the state
Interpret complex external contracts and funding agreement to develop marketing materials for promotion of these programs to drive enrolments for our region.
Manage materials for key partnerships to provide marketing advice, collateral, webinar management and build and maintain strong working relationships with these key partners
Manage Marketing Budget, tracking expenditure and liaises with the Finance team to forecast the annual budget
Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships and actively engage with key business, industry and regional stakeholders.
Develop content and produce a range of marketing collateral, including brochures, web content, social media and blog, advertising and other promotional materials that meet marketing requirements.
Support the strategic marketing and communications direction of TAFE Queensland by contributing to the development of the Marketing Plan for the Gold Coast region and the development and maintenance of an operational activity calendar to drive the content planning across marketing channels.
Provide monthly reporting on these activities in the Marketing Activity Report sent to regional Executive.
Input into key revenue growth strategy marketing plans to ensure the needs of our customers are being met, thus increasing progression and conversion through the marketing and sales funnels.
Direct and coordinate the workload of the graphic designer to ensure all design requests are completed in a timely manner and brief graphic designer on work and help direct the creative process.
Utilise, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Marketo, Monday Project Management system and Gather Content to work with state-wide marketing teams
Maintain WIP and provide monthly reporting to Marketing Manager
Have a high level understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE Queensland Gold Coast including products, funding sources and income streams and the relevant ASQA requirements of marketing a VET organisation.
Also works closely with Quality and Audit team ensure relevant approvals are achieved for materials.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Demonstrated project management and organisational skills, including the ability to develop plans, gather information, set priorities and negotiate outcomes, schedule activities, and meet deadlines within a busy and demanding marketing environment.
Highly developed marketing skills, including the ability to produce and edit marketing and campaign materials.
Demonstrated ability to develop content and produce a range of marketing collateral, including brochures, web content, social media and blog, advertising and other promotional materials that meet the marketing requirements of the business.
Ability to demonstrate coordination, staging and promotion of special marketing events including but not limited to Open Days, Expos and Webinars.
Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to write briefs and reports as well as establish networks, develop productive and collaborative relationships and operate effectively within a team.
Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
