We are seeking a skilled Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team and lead our school's communications, advertising, social media, school events and fundraising efforts. The Marketing and Communications Manager at BMS is a pivotal role responsible for elevating our school's presence through engaging storytelling, impactful content, and strategic marketing initiatives. While ensuring consistency in brand messaging is aligned with our Montessori values and visual identity across all communication platforms, this role supports the School's mission to provide high-quality Montessori education. Working closely with the Principal, this dynamic position involves overseeing the school's digital presence, managing social media, crafting compelling content, and driving enrolment through innovative campaigns. The role also includes building community engagement and ensuring clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders. The Marketing and Communications Manager is also responsible for managing the school's google workspace including staff email set up, shared calendar, photo sharing, and other IT requirements across the school. Qualities of the Ideal Candidate: The ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with the school's mission and goals. This includes long-term planning and brand positioning. Proactive thinker who can bring innovative ideas for digital marketing, content creation, fundraising campaigns and school events. Experience in marketing, communications, and events, preferably in the education, not-for-profit, or similar sectors, but not necessary. A proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. A passion for education, with an understanding or desire to learn about the Montessori principles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work with a cross section of stakeholders including, staff, students, the School Board, families and local community. Attention to detail to ensure high-quality, on-brand communications. Willingness to work as part of a small team and provide flexible support across various functions within the school environment. Commitment to continuous learning. Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate: A degree in Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media. Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing, and web content management systems. Experience in executive marketing and communications roles. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Technical proficiency in tools such as Google workspace, Google Ads (search, display, video, and smart campaigns), Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram), SEO optimisation, Square Space for website management, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design) for content creation, as well as data analytics platforms like Google Analytics to track performance and inform strategy. Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, and email marketing tools is also desirable.
