MBM is a national independent Australian owned property consultancy providing Quantity Surveying, Building Consultancy, Tax & Asset Services, PPP Advisory, Infrastructure, Facilities Management Advisory and Expert Witness services. With significant growth in recent years, MBM are looking for a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to join our Sydney team as we continue to build our sales and digital marketing channels nationally. The position reports directly to the Client Relationship and Business Development Manager and will work with the Hub Leaders to prepare and implement strategies for MBM. The role allows you to engage with the property & construction industry, build strong and enduring client relations and promote MBM through marketing across different platforms.
Key Responsibilities:Coordinating and managing all events for MBM, including B2Bs, bespoke client events, and national client parties in each state, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, guests, vendors, and budget and record keepingDeliver MBM's social media strategy, brainstorming creative ideas to highlight MBM's experts and to increase engagementIn collaboration with the Communications Advisor, creating project articles and LinkedIn posts that demonstrate MBM's expertise and align with the businesses marketing goalsLead the creation and sourcing of content for the internal monthly newsletterWork with the team to create and deliver marketing campaigns, including the quarterly Escalation in Conversation WebinarSupport the team with website updates, awards submissions, and general MBM collateral such as capability statements and CV'sWork with the Head of Clients and Marketing to map out sectors, target clients, and state schedules of relationships Work with the team to build beneficial relationships with key industry bodies and charitable organisations, including delivering sponsorship initiatives for MBM in innovative waysAssist with updating MBM's CRM and keeping database up to dateGeneral marketing research, including keeping across key sectors and conducting regular competitor analysisAct as an internal representative of the marketing team, encouraging teams to network, attend events, and supporting new starters with LinkedIn reviews and marketing assetsAttend industry events, building relationships with other young professionals and making connections for the MBM teamProvide timely and succinct design briefs to MBM's graphic design team, to support business and marketing goalsWork collaboratively with MBM's bidding team to support on fee proposals and other collateral when required.Qualifications and Skills:A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a professional services or construction environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience with Canva advantageous, but not essential.Familiarity with LinkedInAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.An interest in business development and networkingTeam Player: Effective organisational and communication skills.Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proactivity: A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.What We Offer:Professional Growth: An opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive and stimulating work environment.Learning Programs: Access to in-house and external learning programs.Networking: Engagement with industry functions and client interactions to build networks.Development: Continuous personal and professional development within the company, with a focus on sustainability practices.If you are motivated, detail-oriented, and seeking an opportunity to advance your career in a fast-paced environment while contributing to sustainable business practices, we would love to hear from you.
