Market Operations Senior Associate

Our client is seeking a Market Operations Officer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring all trades received from various businesses are confirmed, instructed to the custodian, and all issues related to settlement are resolved in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the market settlement process for a wide range of products with a minimum of 2 years + experience working within financial markets. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in the financial services industry from day one.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure the timely matching, confirmation, and settlement of a wide range of productsInvestigate and resolve failed trades and cash breaksAct as key liaison for custodians, dealers, brokers, and front office in relation to booking and settlement issuesInstruct the setup of new trading counterparties in the operations systemBuild and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersAssess current processes with a view to making changes to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and improve delivery to stakeholdersParticipate actively in intra-team cross-training and upskillingWork on assigned projects relating to the wider Market Operations teamRequirements:Understanding of the market settlement process for a wide range of productsUnderstanding of Australian financial markets and the role of different participants within the marketAbility to adapt quickly in a changing environmentExperience in project managementAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
