Role Description: The Market and Regulatory Compliance Officer is a newly created opportunity in our Market and Compliance team in Future Energy based at our Perth CBD Offices.
The purpose of the role is to provide support to operational activities by ensuring strict market and regulatory compliance regimen across Synergy's large renewable and Distributed Energy Resources assets.
Job responsibilities: Ensure compliance, performance, and asset planning across the Future Energy Business Unit.  Conduct research on market rules, relevant legislations, and policies, and applying these insights to maintain a robust compliance regime. Drive the accuracy and consistency of financial models across the operational asset supporting asset management planning. Assist in updating and reporting Variable Operation and Maintenance (VOM) model, and coordinating the periodic VOM update at the asset level as required – including data collection, analysis and facilitating workshops. Collaborate and co-ordinate across cross functional teams to educate and guide stakeholders on their compliance roles.  What you will bring: Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Commerce (Economics, Finance, Accounting), Law or Legal Studies, or Engineering with energy specialisation.  A demonstrated understanding of the energy market and its regulatory environment.  Proven experience in delivering complex qualitative and quantitative assessments, including the ability to interpret complex regulations and assess compliance.  Proven ability to communicate complex analytical outcomes and compliance requirements clearly and experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve set goals. Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, VBA, PowerBI and Python.  What we offer: Working for an employer of choice also means you will enjoy:
