Marine Welder (Aluminium Specialist) Griffin Marine Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Welder (Aluminium Specialist) to join our dynamic team. This role will be an integral part of an exciting project for a multi-national company working on leading edge designs with state of the art fabrication technology.

About the Role: In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your expertise in aluminium welding will be crucial for a variety of projects, including:
• Ship repairs and modifications
• Fabrication of new aluminium structures
• Deck repairs and replacements
• Watertight door and hatch installations
• Working with pipes, tanks, and other aluminium components
You will be responsible for: • Performing high-quality aluminium welds using various techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG)
• Ensuring welds meet stringent quality standards and classification society requirements
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• Following safe work practices and adhering to all safety protocols
• Contributing to a positive and productive team environment
• Working independently and as part of a team on various projects
We are looking for a candidate with: • Proven experience as a marine welder
• Demonstrated expertise in aluminium welding using TIG and MIG processes
• A strong understanding of relevant welding codes and standards AS1665 & AS1664-1 – Australian Aluminium Standard
• Experience working in a shipyard or marine environment is a strong preference
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid working visa for Australia (if applicable)
