The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services. The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary:In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff.
Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.
Major Responsibilities:Level 1
Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff within the area of responsibility.Role supports projects of moderate complexity and few stakeholders involved.Planning
Prepares construction drawings and sketches.Develops planning construction methods and procedures.Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.Other responsibilities as designated.Level 2
Role supports on mid-size projects of medium to high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.Planning
Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.Other responsibilities as designated.Education and Experience Requirements:Level 1
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.Level 2
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field marine construction activities.Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.Knowledge of the use of contracts, and the works contractor's responsibilities contained in contract documents.Experience working with, supervising and administering works contractors in an EPCM environment.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
