Reporting to the General Manager - Marine Operations, the Marine Manager's primary function is to be responsible for the operation of Spirit of Tasmania's vessels. This includes managing the ongoing compliance and certification of vessels and equipment and ensuring best practice safety procedures and systems of work are managed effectively and efficiently across the operation. To succeed in this pivotal role, you will have sailed at least as Chief Officer or First Engineer and have experience working in a marine operations environment. Your exposure to regulators together with your operational experience that includes safety systems, sea worthiness, ISM, dry docking and vessel maintenance, and workplace relations will lead to your success. You will hold a relevant qualification, Master Class 1 or Chief Engineer's Certificate with an accreditation in auditing being highly desirable. Your outstanding analytical, commercial and interpersonal skills together with your ability to manage key stakeholder relationships will see you thrive in this exceptional opportunity.
