About the Role
Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Glasgow preferred. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland.
Salary: £33,063 - £38,404 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The Mapping and Data Technician is a distinct role existing within the Investment Planning North Team and your work will directly impact the effectiveness of our circuit planning and execution.
In this role you will:
Carry out geospatial mapping on approximately 150 circuits per year.
Produce all work packages for the Whole Circuit Approach and collate the different work types on each circuit.
Provide delivery team with support on circuit work packages.
Work closely with Investment Engineers to carry out data gathering and data cleansing activities to ensure data accuracy.
What do I need?
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
Strong data analysis skills (including PowerBI and Excel) to interpret and manipulate datasets and maintain data integrity and accuracy.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, forming judgements based on logical conclusions that have been drawn from available facts.
Able to visualise and articulate proposed solutions to business problems.
Excellent time management skills; able to effectively plan own and others' time.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
