The role This role can suit either entry level candidates or people with experience with rock tools or underground mining. We are seeking motivated and customer focused individuals for the role of Operations Field Support.
The role is based at our underground client mine site in Western Australia and will see you engaged in direct customer service and Rock Tools (ROTO) operational/coordination activities. Our staff provide you with comprehensive training to set you up to succeed.
This presents you the opportunity to learn and apply Sandvik specific knowledge and services in support of mining customers. In turn, potential career opportunities include promotion to higher operations levels, or career paths to other roles such as sales, service, supervisory or management positions.
This position can be either FIFO or residential (Kalgoorlie). If FIFO; candidates must be based in Perth with reliable access to the Perth Domestic Airport.
Some of the requirements of the role include: Daily driving underground & management of drill consumables to drill rigs and drill sitesManaging drilling consumables inventoriesAccurately recording daily data through Sandvik iPad data systemsAnalysing and reporting on drilling consumable performance, condition, and failuresPositively engaging with our client's mining operatorsSorting, analysing, recording, and servicing of used drill bits and consumablesValid manual C Class Driver's licenseFIFO roster reliability (8 days on/6 days off – 12-hour days, day shift only)Fitness / capacity for work (employment medicals arranged by Sandvik required)Ability to safely lift minimum of 40 kgAbility to pass a police clearance and drug testWorking rights for AustraliaHigh customer focus and positive service orientation and attitudeAble to perform independently and in teamsAdaptable and resilientYour profile You will have aptitude for learning and the ability to engage in labour intensive work; you have receptiveness to training and guidance; safety behaviours; and effective communication and collaboration skills. These will be the foundation of your progression to the ROTO activities you will be required to perform.
