Telecommunications TechnicianWe are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Joseph Prem Technology Pty Ltd, is actively looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join its team on a full-time basis at Nowra, NSW. Business is into Installation, Telephonic Internet Communications, Fixing, Repairing and Installing the Copper and Fibre cables inside premises (Residential & Commercial). Key Responsibilities:•Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, telephones, network termination devices (NTDs), and wall sockets.•Perform internal wiring and installation of copper, fibre, and Ethernet cables for voice and data networks.•Terminate and test cables at distribution points, intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), main distribution frames (MDFs), and network exchanges.•Lay and connect fibre optic and copper cables from network access points to customer premises, ensuring efficient routing through conduits, walls, roofs, and floors.•Conduct aerial cable installations and repairs, connecting from poles, distribution points, and premises connection devices (PCDs).•Perform trenching and conduit installation to connect telecommunications infrastructure from pits and manholes to customer buildings.•Diagnose and resolve network faults, including issues with fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP), fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC), fibre-to-the-node (FTTN), and legacy copper systems.•Repair and rehabilitate network components, including copper joints, pillars, and underground or aerial connections.•Perform service restoration by identifying and fixing faults in internal wiring and network infrastructure.•Ensure proper setup and integration of telecommunications systems in residential, commercial, and exchange environments.Skills and Qualifications:•Proven experience in telecommunications installation, repair, and maintenance.•Strong knowledge of copper, fibre, and network systems and troubleshooting methods.•Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and handling physical network installations.•Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.•Effective communication skills with a customer-focused approach.Must Have: •Relevant Certificate or Diploma (or higher) in Electronics/ Telecommunications.•Minimum 3 years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician. •Minimum 2 years of Australian experience in similar role •Must have Open Cable License•Strong and proven knowledge of copper, fibre, and network systems and troubleshooting methods.•Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and handling physical network installations.Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of $75,000 to $90,000 Plus Superannuation.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
