Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment)Government - State (Government & Defence)Full timeRemuneration package value up to $166,569 p.a.The Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) vision is world-class healthcare for northern Queensland.Our purpose is 'great care every day'.About your opportunityPermanent full-time position, 76 hours per fortnight.This role leads and manages the delivery of high-quality health safety and wellbeing services across the Townsville HHS, to facilitate effective implementation and maintenance of the Queensland Health, Health Safety and Wellbeing Management System (HSMS).The role applies specialist health, safety and wellbeing knowledge and understanding of governance, planning, consultation, and risk management processes to a range of work health and safety matters, injury prevention, rehabilitation and return to work with a particular focus on ensuring and maintaining safe work environments across the Townsville HHS.The role operationally leads and manages the resources, systems and processes required to deliver a positive safety culture and performance across the HHS.As a specialist health and safety expert the role engages and collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, including training and professional development services to build workplace health and safety capability across the HHS.Generous remuneration package value up to $166,569 p.a. comprising:Salary range of $136,035 to $145,990 p.a. (AO7)4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.While not mandatory, possession of relevant qualifications in Workplace health and safety, injury management, corporate governance and/or risk management would be highly regarded.Possession of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded.Probationary period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Why make the change?Our gorgeous weather promotes an active and outdoor lifestyle, where the sun shines for over 320 days of the year.
