Manager, Venture Capital/M&A

This International Venture Capital Fund Manager has a mission to evolve great ideas into world-changing businesses; to bridge the gap between cutting-edge scientific innovation and commercialisation.
An opportunity has arisen for a Manager to join the dynamic investments team and help assess investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, prepare investment committee papers, and prepare pitch decks for fundraising.
Reporting to the CIO, your responsibilities will include:
Conduct market research and analysis on emerging technologies and trends, such as artificial intelligence, biotech, etc.Source, screen and evaluate potential investment opportunities including writing investment committee papers.Prepare financial models, valuation reports, and due diligence materials.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate deal execution and portfolio management by communicating effectively, managing expectations, and resolving issues.Monitor and report on the performance and progress of portfolio companies.Prepare pitch decks for fundraising.Attend industry events and conferences to network with entrepreneurs, investors, and experts, and to stay updated on the latest trends and opportunities.The successful candidate will be degree qualified and have experience in venture capital, private equity, M&A consulting, investment banking, or similar - and a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. You will have strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
This role could suit someone with transactions experience at Manager level - or alternatively someone at M&A Analyst level looking to be developed into an Investment Manager.
