Location: Sydney, NSW Type: Permanent, fulltime opportunity Hybrid role, Happy to talk flexible working The opportunity In this role, you will focus on establishing and embedding project best practices, overseeing project management processes, and providing leadership to project teams while working closely with senior leadership to improve project delivery performance across the organization, ensuring effective financial management, structured reporting, capturing dependencies, resourcing issues and manage capacity planning across workstreams.
Your new role Working closely with Senior Delivery Managers and Head of Technology Delivery you will have visibility of dependencies/pre-requisites/requirements from multiple delivery workstreams, across project milestones, financials, resourcing, etc. managing, reporting and providing visibility to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Other responsibilities include:
Deliver multiple Monthly Portfolio reporting artifacts to diverse forums including Technology Leadership team, AUSPAC Executives, and Group functions. Managing and forecasting of the AUSPAC Application End-Of-Live (EOL) reporting to the various Risk organisations; working with the delivery teams to capture the data required to form the forecast. Executes Quarterly Project Health checks for all of the Technology Portfolio Programs to drive consistency and ensure adherence to processes, policies, and procedures, as well as regular financial reviews for all projects. Control and ensure internal reporting compliance for resources across portfolios. Drive consistency and promotes Delivery Best Practices. About you To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in Portfolio Management/PMO roles; have previous hands-on project management experience, carries strong business acumen with good experience in executing project reviews highlighting any variations to budget/forecast, risks to delivery, dependencies.
You will:
Proven expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. In-depth understanding of project governance, budgeting, and resource allocation. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, etc). Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making abilities. Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience in Insurance, Banking and Finance or Regulatory organisations is preferred.
