We
are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join our team
in Australia, responsible for driving sales growth across the country. This
role will focus on supporting the sales of our innovative B2B software
solutions to telecommunication service providers. The ideal candidate will
have a strong technical background in solution architecture and/or enterprise
architecture within the telecommunications industry, combined with proven
sales experience. This position requires a unique blend of technical
expertise and sales acumen to effectively communicate complex solutions to
technical decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with
telecommunication service providers across Australia
Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical
decision-makers, CTOs, and senior IT leaders in target accounts
Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and
product demonstrations, showcasing how our solutions address specific client
challenges
Design and propose complex technical solutions that align with
clients' enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategies
Collaborate closely with the product development team to
understand client requirements and influence product roadmap
Provide technical leadership throughout the entire sales cycle,
from initial technical discovery to solution design and implementation
planning
Forecast sales pipeline and provide regular updates to senior
management, including technical win/loss analysis
Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and
competitive landscape in the telecommunications sector
Mentor junior technical sales team members and share knowledge
across the organization
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
or related technical field
10+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with
at least 5 years in a technical pre-sales or solution architecture role
Proven track record of designing and selling complex technical
solutions to telecommunication service providers in Australia
Deep understanding of telecommunications networks, protocols,
and emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, NFV/SDN, IoT, ODA)
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and
methodologies
Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to create
detailed solution designs and technical proposals
Outstanding communication skills, able to explain complex
technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with major telecom vendors' technologies and
integration challenges
Familiarity with Australian telecommunications regulations and
industry standards
Proficiency in technical modeling tools and techniques
Ability to travel within Australia (up to 30% of the time)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
