This is an opportunity to drive the future of sustainable transport in WA. The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Lead to join the Transport Sustainability and Strategic Projects Division.
This role is pivotal in shaping and driving the strategic direction, business priorities, and outcomes of the Directorate. The successful candidate will lead a comprehensive program of sustainability activities, including Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy and reporting; the exploration of lower carbon materials and innovations that support change across the Transport Portfolio's agencies; and decarbonisation in the wider transport sector.
You will assist the Director in monitoring and enhancing sustainability performance and addressing relevant challenges to achieve outcomes related to environmental and social responsibility, and economic viability. Staying informed of local, national, and international trends in decarbonising transport systems and infrastructure is essential. You will possess strong stakeholder management skills to build positive working relationships across the Portfolio and with industry group. You will have strong leadership skills, with ability to mentor teams and manage resources effectively.
