• PO5 salary range $124,449 - $130,253.00 + Super

About the role
As a Manager, Student Success and Wellbeing, you will lead the delivery of exceptional learning support and wellbeing services throughout the student journey.
You will inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team providing library resources, study-skills coaching, career advice, counselling, and disability support.

In this position, you will spearhead the development and implementation of policies, frameworks, and projects that enhance student outcomes and foster collaboration across departments.
Additionally, you will offer expert advice to senior executives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while navigating complex challenges with resilience and innovation.

Essential to this role:
Relevant qualifications and leadership experience in post-secondary adult learning and/or counselling services across welfare, disability, or career development.
Extensive experience leading and motivating a high-performing student support or wellbeing team in a large, complex, multi-disciplinary service organisation with a strong customer focus.
Demonstrated experience working in an educational environment, with expertise in national and state policies relevant to post-secondary education and training.
Proven ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate complex strategies, policies, and systems in response to organisational needs and objectives.
Significant experience in managing large-scale projects, from ideation through to completion, with measurable service improvements for diverse student cohorts.
Strong background in managing budgets, staffing, and resources, including detailed knowledge of external funding requirements.
Exceptional capability in handling multiple projects and stakeholder needs under competing demands, with personal resilience and adaptability.
Proven track record in achieving externally set targets and meeting legislative requirements and deadlines.
Outstanding communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex data, information, and strategies clearly to a range of stakeholders to achieve results.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

Some out of hour's work may be required during peak periods in line with business needs.
Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
