Manager, Strategic Projects (ASO8) Remuneration: ASO8 $121,107 to $125,679 + superannuation.
Our Client – South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) Perks People Solutions have partnered with the South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) to recruit a Manager, Strategic Projects to join their team on an ongoing basis.
SAFA is the central financing authority, captive insurer and manager of the passenger and light commercial fleet operations for the Government of South Australia.
It also provides extensive financial and commercial advisory services to the South Australian public sector.
The role: The Manager, Strategic Projects is accountable to the Director Insurance and Strategic Projects and is responsible for the:
Management of designated projects and resources to deliver successful project outcomes that align to the strategic objectives of SAFA.Applying high levels of project management expertise, leadership and original thinking to coordinate and facilitate the conceptualising, planning, design, build, delivery, implementation and embedding of the project into the business' operating rhythm.Ensuring that all risks and issues associated with projects are identified and effectively managed.Ensuring that all project development deliverables and benefits realised are effectively tracked and timely reported to all stakeholders throughout the project.Identification of continuous improvement change initiatives, process re-engineering and the modernisation of SAFA's functions and processes.The role has a significant working relationship with the SAFA Executive and Senior Management team and works closely with staff and external stakeholders including staff within the wider Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), consultants and vendors.
About you: Tertiary qualifications (degree level) in Project Management, commerce, economics, business, or similar and/or relevant industry experience.Knowledge of the insurance, banking or finance industry, including emerging industry practices.Very high level of discipline knowledge and experience in the successful delivery of major strategic projects.Proven strong leadership to effectively lead, motivate and manage a project team.Demonstrated experience in building and fostering successful relationships and developing successful networks with a broad range of stakeholders.Proven ability to positively influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve shared objectives.Demonstrated ability to analyse and conceptualise problems, formulate and execute appropriate solutions.Demonstrated ability to identify critical strategic and operational issues and apply analytical skills to develop solutions.Ability to understand technical, legal and regulatory matters and manage associated project initiatives.Demonstrated ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences on sensitive and complex issues.Demonstrated ability to cope with high volumes of work, to achieve effective results and meet critical deadlines.Proven ability to work independently, under broad direction to achieve high quality performance outcomes.Experience in applying expert project management knowledge to effectively lead complex projects.Experience managing the strategy, design, implementation and delivery of critical and complex projects.Experience in leading process management projects, which delivered efficiency or risk mitigation benefits.Expert knowledge of project management methodologies to gather and assess evidence.Strong knowledge of scrum theory, agile and waterfall methodologies.In return: Flexible working optionsSalary packaging optionsDiscounted gym membershipSupportive career development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program for you and your familyBe Well ProgramNext Steps: If you're interested in the position, please apply by submitting your CV and cover letter via www.ppsconsulting.com.au/SAFAjobs
