About the Team & the Position The AEMO's 'Strategy, Architecture & Emerging Technologies' team is responsible for the following core functions: The maintenance of AEMO's technology strategy and its alignment with the AEMO business vision, goals, and strategic imperatives to ensure that the Digital strategy is maintained / updated as part of company planning processes.
Establish AI/ML capability at AEMO, including AI platforms and solutions, and data/AI governance.
The development and evolution of the architecture plans (Business, Cyber Security, Data, Application and Technology and roadmaps) to guide the development of systems and platforms and support AEMO's strategic imperatives.
Solution architecture, process, and business analysis for all business domains to support AEMO's change agenda and transformation initiatives.
Overall Architecture governance Position Responsibilities Lead delivery of solution architecture for a core Cyber program that enhances the defendability of our critical systems.
Provide architectural oversight, articulate, and negotiate architectural direction to the reform owners, internal and external stakeholders, and digital partners.
Lead a high-performance Solution architecture Cyber team, deliver fit for purpose Cyber solution architecture to enhance the defendability of our critical systems.
Ensure solution design complies with enterprise architecture principles and standards through design governance and provide direction to allocated security architects in the program.
Ensure Security Architects follow architectural governance, specifically Solution Integrity Design Authority (SIDA), Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Work with Architecture practice management to ensure Solution Architecture team is in alignment with overall architectural practices.
Planning and resource allocation.
Assist with long term staffing decisions, forecast how the team will service future projects.
Work closely with Portfolio Delivery Managers, Program and Project Managers and Enterprise Portfolio Office to proactively forecast and plan for demand.
Ensure capex recovery is on target.
Position Requirements Skills & Experience: Demonstrable experience in Solution Architecture in a large and complex organisation.
Strong experience working in Public Sector and adept in developing roadmaps and strategies.
Strong business and commercial acumen and ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Applications, Portfolio Delivery Managers, Program/Projects Manager, business stakeholders, product owners, and others.
Proven experience in leading and developing teams to high performance.
Experience formulating and maturing Enterprise Architecture practices and frameworks.
Experience in developing and governing the application and integration patterns and standards.
Proven experience in contributing to the development of strategic roadmaps and contributing to the development of a Technology / Digital Strategy.
