About the role: As the Manager School Support and Corporate Capability within the Education Futures Institute, you will work to deliver a coherent and system-wide approach to high quality, targeted capability development.
As Manager School Support and Corporate Capability, you will: Lead the collaborative design, development and delivery of capability development programs and initiatives aligned to departmental priorities.Provide strong leadership, corporate and management expertise as part of a thriving and high performing team.Establish and expand internal and external partnerships and stakeholder engagement.Provide specialist advice and preparation of reports, briefings and correspondence.Responsibilities include: Applying significant levels of independent judgement in keeping with the complex nature of work undertaken and the allocation of resources within the constraints or guidelines laid down by senior executives.Instigating the development of guidelines, rules, regulations, procedures or instructions for staff or other interested parties.Analysing organisational design and the formulating strategic plans for staff and organisational development as required.Capabilities include: Management skills and the abilities necessary to determine resource allocations, manage staff and resources, formulate policy initiatives and develop corporate strategies are usually required at this level.A knowledge of financial program management practices and the evaluation of the results of program activities against stated objectives are normally required at this level.Liaison and communication skills to enable the effective resolution of complex organisational issues, including the capacity and ability to negotiate or communicate on behalf of the office with clients or other interested groups, often to finality, may be required.Two positions are available; one permanent and one temporary until 30 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.
