We continually invest in our people, infrastructure and technology to improve our patient-centred care.About this OpportunityReporting directly to the Executive General Manager, People, Culture and Environment as the Manager - Safety, Health, Environment and Quality, you will be inspired to lead the strategic direction and operations of RFDS SA/NT safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) systems processes and improvements. You will be motivated to lead a team of 3 safety, health, environment and quality specialists in the pursuits of RFDS SA/NT SHEQ objectives.Your main duties and responsibilities in this role include:Provide visible leadership and appropriate SHEQ behaviours to continually develop and maintain a culture that prioritizes safety, health, environment, and quality across all activities.Prepare and implement the annual SHEQ department strategy in line with the RFDS Strategic Pillars.Support and mentor all People Leaders and Business Partners in identifying, investigating, and resolving SHEQ issues.Manage the consultative process associated with safety, health, environment, and quality requirements in consultation with the WHS Committee and Executive Leadership Team.Analyse SHEQ data and statistics, providing robust and measurable recommendations to the RFDS SA/NT Board.Embed vital SHEQ risk management processes across RFDS SA/NT from an organizational perspective and oversee implementation from a departmental and division perspective.To be successful in this role, you will need:Post Graduate Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Business, Psychology, or similar.Proven experience in a similar Health, Safety & Environment role, ideally within a multi-disciplinary/multi-site business.A genuine leader in the SHEQ field, taking pride in developing and educating others to achieve best practice outcomes.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers/stakeholders.Ability to listen, educate, and understand the needs of the business.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to maintain and influence vital stakeholder relationships across RFDS SA/NT and externally.Experience in the development, delivery, and continual improvement of SHEQ processes, initiatives, and systems through a pragmatic and responsive approach to the business.Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business to foster a collaborative approach to SHEQ.Extensive knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation, including but not limited to WHS Legislation, Quality Accreditation, and Environmental Compliance in relevant Australian jurisdictions.Benefits:As part of the team, you can expect to be provided with challenging, interesting work and be supported to achieve your best.
