The role Our Governance team has an exciting opportunity for a Manager Risk and Resilience to play a crucial role supporting the Director Risk to operationalise the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure's Risk Management Framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the work of our Department as at it delivers exciting and innovative reforms across NSW.
The Manager Risk and Resilience is a Line 2 role, responsible for delivering initiatives to build risk management and resilience awareness and capability within the Department. The approach required is highly collaborative, working across other Governance teams as well as key operational functions. The role will be part of a high-performing team and act as a risk advocate, establishing, influencing and managing stakeholder relationships whilst providing specialist advice and information to various DPHI businesses. A focus on climate-risk management and leveraging the potential of our EGRC system are a crucial component of this role.
Encompassing the delivery of risk awareness and support programs including facilitation of workshops and risk reviews to build capability and successfully implement the risk management framework, this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Risk Leader to join the team.

Extensive experience with the management of enterprise and operational risk in a large organisation Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to engage with stakeholders to enable best practice risk outcomes is essential Demonstrated understanding of the design, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of risk management frameworks, strategies, processes and systems Ability to maintain knowledge and understand of risk industry standard across the sector with a solid understanding of public sector policy and standards relating to risk management practices.
