The successful candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of businesses, regulatory and industry issues, as well as the competitive landscape. They will be required to stay abreast of the rapidly changing regulatory environment as it relates to Regulatory Compliance Risk and the more stringent regulatory interface and intervention across multiple jurisdictions.Responsibilities:Risk stewardship, and advice and support, with respect to regulatory change impacting all businesses and their implementation.Advice and support with respect to Regulatory Compliance Risk related regulatory breach assessments and reporting to regulators.Advice and support with respect to internal, external and regulatory reviews and audits relating to Regulatory Compliance Risk.Risk stewardship with respect to Regulatory Compliance Risk related training requirements on an entity basis.Working with Risk and Compliance senior management, the role requires strong partnership with key stakeholders within the businesses.RequirementsRequirements:Professional with experience in one or more senior risk compliance roles, to include significant Regulatory Compliance experience.Excellent understanding of banking and financial service regulations as they apply to retail banking.Awareness of key Australian regulatory change initiatives and their impacts on the businesses.Extensive knowledge of the HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel and a deep understanding of HSBC's corporate culture.Relevant experience in the financial services industry.Lateral thinker with an ability to intepret and solve complex issues.Strong business judgement and a willingness to exercise it.Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and/or data and provide succinct summary for management.Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.We value different perspectives, we succeed together, collaborating across boundaries, we take responsibility, holding ourselves accountable to get things done.
