About The Position This position is responsible for managing the development of Company's cost of service studies, rate case billing units, regulated pricing, and administration and maintenance of Company's tariffs.
This position works closely with operating and business personnel and is responsible for coordinating the development of strategic solutions to complex issues that satisfy regulatory requirements and fulfill Company's business needs.
Key responsibilities include: Manages activities for the development of the Company's cost of service studies, rate case billing units, regulated pricing, and administration and maintenance of Company's tariffs.Assemble and lead cross functional teams to identify, analyze, develop, and implement innovative changes to Ameren's tariffs and related policies which improve Company efficiencies, profitably grow revenues and fulfill regulatory requirements.Manage the development of communication, analytical, financial, and operational tools to aid customer contact personnel in administering the Company's tariffs, rules, and policies in a consistent, efficient and non-discriminatory manner.Provide strategic input regarding regulatory impact to corporate business decisions.Participate in state and/or federal Regulatory proceedings, including providing written and oral testimony as an expert witness, where required.Oversee the development and continuing education of direct reports.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Business, or related field required.
Master's Degree in Business discipline or CPA preferred.
Eight or more years' utility or business project management related experience required, preferably with a utility or entity that is engaged in utility matters.
Three or more years' experience in tariff/policy analysis and application, cost of service, or rate regulation and/or ratemaking also required.
Experience leading groups preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Ability to consistently exercise good judgment and develop a course of action based on logical assumptions and analysis of factual information.
Proficiency with personal computer applications.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
