Sapura EnergyAustralia (SEA), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian based Sapura Energy Berhad, is a leading offshore oil and gas subsea contractor with more than 30 years of track record in the offshore construction market.
We're seeking a talented and dedicated Manager, QHSE to join our dynamic team on a permanent full-time basis.
As a key member of the management team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and advising on all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Reporting to the Head of QHSE International Operations, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage and advise on all SEA activity Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirementsResponsible for overall management, planning organisation and control of all QHSE activities both onshore and offshoreEnsure timely project QHSE start-up including document development and approvalEnsure company QHSE management system requirements are implemented and tested within project QHSE and Emergency Response PlansEnsure that the SEA Company management system is reviewed and updated as required to meet Company's continual improvement objectivesSubcontractor management and assurance pertaining to QHSE and compliance to SEA management systemsFacilitate HAZID meetings for projects scope of work including development of HAZID reportsDevelop and maintain SEA and project risk registerCoordinate QHSE training and induction as requiredMaintain corporate safety program and ensure projects plans incorporate safety initiatives as defined by the project manager and clientCoordinate incident management and investigation (RCA) process for all SEA project related incidentsEnsure project QHSE reporting requirements are met for both internal and external stakeholdersLiaise with regulatory authorities, and identify legislative compliance requirements and ensure Company standards are updated as requiredResponsible for safety case development and amendments as required by projects / corporateConduct QHSE assurance activities in line with SEA business needsEnsure strategic alignment when it comes to Quality Management in line with Sapura Energy Berhad's strategic directionReport corporate SEA QHSE Statistics to Sapura Energy BerhadAssist with tendering submissions and actively participate in tendering kick-off and operations meetings, ensuring compliance with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) requirementsTo be successful in this role, you will have:
Degree/Diploma in OHS or other associated disciplinesMinimum of 5 years QHSE experience in the Oil & Gas sectorRecent management and leadership experienceExperience in an offshore based QHSE role including exposure to offshore subsea construction/decommissioning worksRegistered with a recognised QHSE body (IOSH/CQI/SIA)Experience and knowledge across environmental governing processes in AustraliaCurrent knowledge of the legislative context and changes in Australia, in particular, the application of Psychosocial Risk ManagementGood working knowledge of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment techniquesAbility to apply Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management skills to meet project requirementsExcellent organisational and time management skillsExceptional interpersonal skills supported by a high level of self-awarenessSapura Energy Australia ensures equal employment opportunity for all its employees and applicants for employment.As such, Sapura Energy Australia encourages our First Nations People to apply.
