Introduction and Team you will belong to We are seeking an experienced Production Support and Procurement Manager to join our Consumables supply chain team specialising in fabrication and assembly.

The role Key responsibilities will be to coordinate, monitor and assist in providing harmonized ways of working across all production support and procurement tasks, driving efficiency and ensuring on time delivery. To manage the PS & purchasing team members.
Responsible for setting targets and goals for the Production Support and Procurement team members to harmonize ways of working.Providing an efficient way of working across all tasks by allocating and managing resources.Responsible for ensuring prompt processing of orders to minimise the impact on customers and supply locations.Develop SAP key user knowledge of transactional processing.As key user develop understanding of systems transactional knowledge to assist in testing for changes and improvements.Manage and lead by example best practice methods to a direct team of 8.Participate in team problem solving and knowledge management.Provide ongoing training and development of team members.Provide training development of new team members.Deal with internal and external customers and vendors to ensure on time delivery.Target key cost drivers and reduce procurement costs across the supply chain.Negotiate vendor pricing and procurement of materials in line with supply chain estimates and escalate to Sourcing team as per the company procedures.To manage the team to drive OTD, focusing on expediting and escalating problem vendors to the Sourcing team.Ability to travel domestically is required.The successful candidate will: Be motivated, driven and have the ability to lead themselves.Strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing a team.Strong process driven skills.Strong negotiation skills.Good attention to detail.SAP experience at expert level.Leadership experience within a range of locations.5+ years experience in supporting the procurement and production processes at a team leader or 2IC level.Display a continuous improvement mindset.Be able to develop strong and productive working relationships with our internal and external stakeholders inclusive of our production teams personnel.Have strong commercial acumen with a customer oriented outlook.Show a high level of verbal and written communication skills.Have a strong focus on safety, built on transparent and open communication with the ability to execute high-quality risk observations, hazard reports and implement proactive safety initiatives.University qualifications completed or a willingness to undertake some study in a related field will be viewed favourably.What's in it for you An inspiring purpose - Enabling sustainable modern life.
