Manager Portfolio Performance

As our Manager Portfolio Performance, you will utilise your stakeholder relationship management, consulting, negotiation, leadership and facilitation skills at a senior level for optimal portfolio delivery performance. You will foster a culture of exceptional delivery performance, teamwork, and engagement that enables the achievement of organisational objectives. This position is open to candidates in Brisbane & Melbourne, offering you the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

You'll make an impact by: Lead review, prioritise, and optimise the enterprise portfolio through effective prioritisation and governance routines, working closely with Finance and other enabling functions.Continually improving and maintaining reporting processes to provide visibility of portfolio performance, orchestrating progress updates for the Board, Executive Committee, and portfolio governance forums.Deliver regular reports to senior leadership, ensuring the enterprise has a clear view of portfolio timelines, milestones, critical paths, change impacts, and risk profile.Source, collate, and compile information to identify, track and report on emerging issues and progress against milestones and deliverables.Lead and develop a small team of Portfolio Delivery Coordinators within the Enterprise Delivery function.Provide advice and guidance to our business and delivery teams, helping to resolve issues, and uplift overall delivery capability and maturity.Identify when delivery interventions are required, and facilitate cross-portfolio decision-making to ensure that the portfolio remains performant.Develop progressive practices, techniques, and tools as part of an effective portfolio delivery framework and associated governance.Do things differently with us

To succeed in this role, you will have: 5+ years' experience as a Program Office Manager, or Program/Project/Change Manager with exposure to cross-functional, complex initiatives.Experience with the design and management of delivery governance process and reporting.Excellent communication skills verbal and written, with the ability to shape the narrative and insights for effective decision making.Demonstrated understanding of portfolio, project and/or governance disciplines and methodologies, such as PMBOK, Prince2, P30, PMI, Agile, Scrum, Lean.Financial industry background is preferred but not essential.Proven people management/leadership experience in a matrix delivery organisation.Excellent stakeholder/relationship management, consultation, negotiation, and facilitation skills with all levels of the organisation.An exceptional leader of people who can build a high performing and effective team.Why Great Southern Bank?
