This is a three (3) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency The Teacher Registration directorate comprises the Registration and Customer Services branch, the Investigations and Compliance branch and the Policy and Quality Assurance branch. The directorate is responsible for providing secretariat services to the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia. The directorate supports the Board's mission of serving the public interest by ensuring that teachers are registered and teacher education programmes are accredited in accordance with relevant legislation and in the best interests of children.
The Role We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Manager to lead our Policy and Quality Assurance team. The successful applicant will be confident working in a regulatory environment on a range of policy, governance, and business improvement activities to support the functions and work of the Teacher Registration Board of WA.
The Manager Policy and Quality Assurance provides expert strategic policy and regulatory advice to the Director and the Board regarding current and emerging matters that are strategically significant and have implications for teacher registration and the accreditation of initial teacher education programs. The position is also responsible for ensuring a client centred framework for stakeholder communication and engagement is established and maintained.
The successful applicant will work with a cohesive, highly capable, and autonomous team. You will ideally possess leadership skills that recognise and empower team members' capability to undertake their respective projects, programs, and priorities.
With a strong stakeholder focus and working alongside other senior managers, the successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain productive internal and external relationships.
