Key Responsibilities:Leadership of Council wide Human Resources functions.Oversight of Human Resource Operations, including Payroll, Organisational Development and Learning, Workplace Relations, Employee performance and human resource advice and coaching, and Workplace Health and Safety including Return to Work and Rehabilitation.Review current Human Resources functions and effectively rebuild the department, implementing contemporary, best practice processes and procedures.Lead by example, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration between disparate teams.Maintain high quality services to the organisation during organisational and cultural change.Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Local Government or other qualifications relevant to the position.Demonstrable experience in a relevant area of Local Government or similar regulated environment.Exceptional communication and engagement skills.Proven ability to develop the capacity of staff through coaching and mentoring.This is an exceptional opportunity to bring your proven ability to lead and build a team to be proactive, creative and responsive to deliver quality services across the organisation.
