About the Role
The City of Karratha is undergoing an exciting transformation and is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Manager of People & Culture to lead its values-driven change journey. Reporting to the CEO, you will be instrumental in shaping the "One Team" culture, driving employee engagement, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive workplace. This role is both strategic and operational, providing an opportunity to lead HR initiatives that support the City's vision of becoming Australia's most liveable regional city.
Key Responsibilities Lead recruitment, talent acquisition, and retention strategies to attract top talent.Oversee performance management, employee development, and succession planning.Promote an inclusive, positive work culture aligned with the City's values.Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws while driving operational excellence.Lead safety management initiatives and promote employee well-being.Key Criteria Proven experience in a senior HR or people leadership role, ideally in a fast-paced, progressive environment.Strong strategic and operational HR capabilities, with a focus on employee engagement and leadership development.Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, including talent acquisition, performance management, and workplace safety.Ability to relocate to Karratha, embracing the lifestyle and contributing to the City's transformation.Join a progressive, innovative team in a pivotal role.
