Womens Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA) is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation that operates on a feminist framework and is committed to assisting and enabling women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. WoSSCA provides several services which include; 24-hour Crisis Accommodation, Outreach Service, Court Support, Men's Behaviour Change Partner Support worker and Community Development and Training.Function:Lead and supervise the Outreach team in the delivery of WoSSCA services to women, their children, and communities, in accordance with relevant legislation, good practice standards and WoSSCA policy and procedures. As a member of the WoSSCA Leadership Team, contribute to the overall management of WoSSCA, including data collection and analysis, practice standards, workload trends, service development and stakeholder engagement.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide high level leadership, practice and operational direction and advice to ensure the effective delivery of services across WoSSCA.Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.Manage service provision consistent with legislation, best practice models and in accordance with WoSSCA values, policy, and procedures.Facilitate regular team meetings, case management meetings and reflective practice sessions.Ensure all staff have a current work development plan and that they engage in relevant skill development and training that empowers them to provide the highest quality of service to WoSSCA clients and contributes to their own professional development.Manage staff performance, through effective supervision, line management and undertake performance improvement via informal and formal processes.Facilitate referral assessment and response with a focus on immediate client safety.Provide oversight in developing safety and case management plans to address women's immediate & longer-term support needs from a strength based, trauma informed perspective.Work collaboratively with WoSSCA clients, staff, government and non-government organisations to achieve best outcomes for WoSSCA clients.Provide advice on service gaps and demand, lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies that aim to improve service delivery.Actively contribute to WoSSCA Leadership Team meetings, our Policy and Procedure Committee and other relevant strategic meetings as a representative of WoSSCA, including the Family Safety Meeting.Lead, or contribute to policy and procedure development.Maintain accurate and thorough written records including, but not limited to, meeting and supervision notes, interagency communications, client records.Support WoSSCA staff to collect and maintain precise statistical client data and analyse this to inform service development.Adhere to all WoSSCA policy and procedure, including all WHS processes, and oversee the implementation of those policies and procedures for your work group.Understand client confidentiality and privacy in the context of Information Sharing and the NT legislative framework.Work with the CEO and Finance Lead to maintain the program within the allocated budget.Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the CEO.Selection Criteria:A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, community services or a related discipline and/or demonstrated extensive experience within the community services sector especially in domestic and family violence.Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or management, with an understanding of contemporary practice in the DFSV sector or transferrable understanding/skills in this area.Previous experience and ability to provide professional consultation, supervision and support to staff and students in the execution of their duties.Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills, report writing, conflict resolution, interagency collaboration, and ability to contribute to policy and procedure development.Sound understanding of theoretical frameworks, practice standards and Continuous Quality Improvement practices.Demonstrated experience of working cross-culturally, with an understanding of cultural safety and its application in service delivery.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a complex working environment that contributes to team functioning.Excellent interpersonal skills including positive communication, advocacy, conflict resolution and ability to work collaboratively within the WoSSCA as well as other agencies.High level computer literacy.Experience in strategic planning, budget management and workforce development.Ability to adhere to all WoSSCA policy and procedures as well as working in accordance to the ethics, mission and vision of the organisation.Mandatory requirements:A National Police Criminal History check (less than 3 months old) with acceptable outcome.A current Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).Current NT Driver's Licence.Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.#J-18808-Ljbffr
