We are seeking a Manager, Operations and Systems for our newly expanded International business partnership with Jetstar Airways in Asia Pacific. This exciting new leadership role encompasses the fast paced, commercial & customer focused 'Operations' side of the business, and combines it with our internal support mechanism and analytical focused 'Systems' side of the business.
What does a typical day look like? We are looking for a senior level Operator who has the ability to review, manage and direct all operations of our Jetstar catering partnership and is accountable for the delivery of all contracted services in Australia, Singapore and Japan across the long haul international network. The Manager, Operations and Systems will have commercial oversight of the program, ensuring innovation, cost efficiencies, business improvement, profit performance for each and most importantly customer satisfaction.
In a nutshell your main responsibilities are: Provide thoughtful and visible leadership for a team of regional Retail Managers (RRM) & Systems Specialists (SS) across Australia, developing collaborative working relationships with each.Manage close relationships with our supplier partners and customer teams to ensure 'final mile performance' constantly meets and exceeds expectations.Lead and manage Galley Loading Plan (GLP) governance to ensure optimum use of the aircraft galley & cabin stowage space on all JQ aircraft.Manage the safe and efficient delivery of service by cabin crew, flight packing operations by caterers, drive assembly process efficiencies throughout the supply chain, maximise efficiencies in inventory & weight.Manage the chain of contract management, including format and content of operation manuals, handbooks, and operating instructions.Ensure all contractor costs are reviewed and in line with agreed contracts and all products meet accurate specifications.Manage On Time Performance (OTP) for our services across the network.Operational Leadership for the 24/7 Catering and Retail operations, making critical decisions during irregular operations, including any ad hoc and charter flights.Lead, investigate and report on any incidents involving our services, particularly in relation to safety, compliance or financial risk.Systems development, data accuracy, synchronisation of all flight loading lists, production of relevant data including SLA reporting and sales / productivity metrics.Manage dnata Touchpoint web application and JQ POS system.Drive product management lifecycle, supporting workshops, information sessions and communication plans to promote all current and new inflight food & beverage items.Regular meetings with the Catering teams to monitor, review and identify what inflight products are working and what are not.Ensuring all our processes adhere to all legislative and regulatory compliances within our operating framework and audits, liaising with Food Safety, Health and Security teams as well as any relevant external agencies.Assist the GM Jetstar Retail to drive strategies, support business goals and manage any assigned projects.What do you need to be successful in this role? Seasoned Operations Manager, with background ideally in Aviation, Logistics and Supply Chain (3PL) and Retail programs.5-6 years as National Operations Manager or GM Level.Have proven high level responsibility of a multi-million dollar supply program/s.Experience in complex Budgeting and formulating large P&Ls.Ability to present and comment on business performance and financial data.Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams both onsite and remote (12 or more staff).Technically adept and experience with Tracking, Payment and Inventory Systems.Contract management experience, preferably in Aviation or related Industry.Project Management and Change Management qualified.Strong commercial acumen with business development focus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Tertiary Education in Business or Finance.What's in it for you?
