Lycopodium Minerals are currently recruiting for a Manager of Construction to join our growing team in Perth.
Reporting to the General Manager - Projects, the Manager of Construction will be responsible for ensuring the goals and objectives of the project sites managed by the company are in alignment with project requirements and produced in a timely and cost-effective manner and in accordance with industry best practice Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Human Resources (HR) / Industrial Relations (IR) and quality objectives.
The tasks you'll perform Provide input into feasibility study schedules, implementation plans, constructability strategies and material management plans.Ensure the quality of output of the project site teams including alignment with company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.Ensure the management and technical competence of the site teams in the delivery of the site activities is continuously enhanced to meet the requirements of the Clients and their projects in accordance with the contract.Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations and quality procedures and plans are adhered to on all sites.Attend constructability reviews on all projects at an appropriate point in time of the design phase, including material management and traffic management plans.Assist with the development of site teams in accordance with the company's strategic plans and objectives.Develop and maintain the various procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable the project teams to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and consistently high standard of work across all projects and studies.Support effective implementation, accountability, management, operation, maintenance & control of the Quality Management System.
Assess the suitability and identify the key resources for specific projects/studies and allocate such resources accordingly, considering scheduling requirements for overlapping projects and studies.The expertise you'll bring Engineering qualification or equal industry experience (at least 20 years' experience in various aspects of Project Management and/or Construction Management in the mineral processing and related industries).Strong background in site construction and project management with a broad multi-disciplinary base in mineral processing plant/infrastructure construction.Strong background and training in HSE, IR and HR.Good verbal and written communication skills.Good organisational skills.Capacity for clear thinking and planning.Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement systems and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.Ability to articulate and exemplify the purpose and ethos of the organisation.The benefits we'll provide Lycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
