We're seeking a Manager, Media to oversee the proactive and reactive media efforts for the $15.4 billion River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project. The Opportunity
The T2D Project is the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, and will complete 78km of non-stop, traffic light-free motorway between Gawler and Old Noarlunga. This multi-billion dollar project will deliver a wide range of social, economic, environmental and safety benefits, not only for Adelaide, but for all of South Australia.
The Manager, Media T2D has responsibility for leading media management for the T2D project in partnership with the consortium delivering the project, the T2D Alliance.
You'll work closely with the T2D Alliance team as well as a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels across the Department, government and media. You will step into a role where each day offers fresh challenges, requiring agility and strategic thinking.
You will lead the development of a pipeline of positive media opportunities that promote the T2D Project. This includes the delivery of internal and external media engagement, provision of strategic advice to executives and senior leaders, managing communications and written materials and media management. You will build and maintain strong relationships for the Department to ensure effective communication and accurate information is shared for internal and external audiences.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Extensive Media Relations Experience and understanding of media-related issues and trends, across a variety of settings to deliver strategically aligned programs and initiatives.Strong Negotiation and Engagement Skills, with the ability to influence sensitive discussions and a high level of written skills for delivering clear, audience-appropriate advice.Proven experience in building and leveraging strategic networks, both internally and externally, to support business relationships and strategically aligned multifaceted activities.Experience advising and supporting executives and senior managers on high-level planning, policy development, and operational issues, with the ability to resolve complex matters.Proactive media planning, identifying opportunities to enhance project visibility and contributing to communications and stakeholder engagement strategies. This includes high-quality information delivery to support project milestones.Stakeholder relationship management, driving collaboration with internal teams, media agencies, and the Minister's Office to effectively communicate project milestones.Benefits

Tertiary qualification in a relevant media, communications and/or journalism discipline will be highly regarded.
Special Conditions A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.Some out of hours and weekend work may be required along with participation in a rotating on-call roster for response to out-of-hours media enquiries.
