At DP World Oceania we have a newly created role, and we are seeking a leader to manage the learning & development function who will be primarily responsible to lift the competency of both frontline and office-based employees across DP World Oceania, in line with strategic objectives and through ensuring relevant, simple, effective learning and development, organisational development and technical training solutions. This role will report to the Vice President - People – Oceania – APAC and be part of the local People Leadership Team whilst collaborating and working within the broader APAC Talent & Organization Development Team.
You will be accountable for creating and executing learning pathways that align with career advancement for both frontline and office-based workers. You will serve as an intermediary across Oceania and into our regional APAC office, connecting all stakeholders, identifying requirements, and devising strategies to bridge skill gaps in alignment with organisational goals across our corporate and operational sites.
Key Accountabilities: Provide visible and consistent leadership in DP World's transformational journey. Partner with the APAC Team in operationalising strategic and relevant L&D solutions and programs. Proactively identify and manage talent to attend leadership (and other) programs. Ensure effective management, delivery, support and evaluation of all learning and development solutions. Ensure learning content is updated and relevant as required whether rolled out from global, regional or developed locally, including VOC programs including WHS, CoR etc. Develop, adopt and implement face-to-face workshops locally including being the Oceania SME to standardise delivery across the cluster. Work with the Oceania Leadership Team and Site Teams to support the annual talent development process with HR Managers locally. Champion and lead the development of key projects such as Psychosocial and Fair Culture Framework. Ensure organisational capability (structure, systems, processes) to support growth strategy of our frontline employees and frontline leaders. Monitor, assess, identify and develop solutions for emerging projects during expansion. Enable and support organisational culture, communications, employee engagement. Ensure training pipeline for design and implementation cross functionally. Oversee and develop strategies with trainers and assessors quality, standards, processes. Manage and ensure that DP World's RTO complies with the Standards for RTOs across all of its operations as required by Standards for Continuing Registration (SCR). Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Experience in working in a large-multi-national and ability to influence and participate in regional and global projects. Data driven insights. Ability to work with General Managers/Senior Executive and be a key influence for the local People team. Qualifications in learning and development, organisational development or training. Evidence of relevant professional development in learning and development, organisational development or training. 10+ years' experience in Training, Learning & Development roles. Significant experience in working in heavy-industrial organisations in a similar industry. Proficient in management of learners in a large scale LMS across multiple sites. Excellent management skills, driving performance and strategy planning. Experience in online learning solutions and systems. Exposure to RTO management software and exposure to large-scale ERPs/LMS. Ability to work effectively in a matrix-based organisation and a multicultural environment.
