Position Summary
This position is responsible for enhancing the audit quality framework at RSM Australia, contributing to a vital aspect of the firm's System of Quality Management. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining presentations, case studies, and other resources for the audit and assurance practice. The role also involves analysing monitoring activities to identify areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements. While the primary focus is on audit, there may be opportunities to collaborate on technical initiatives across the firm and support other divisions as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Influencing, leading or participating in programs of work to improve audit quality, including creation of tools and guidance for the assurance practice that promote both quality and efficiency initiatives.Management of the training aspects of the firm's system of quality management, including developing a competency-based training framework, and a comprehensive curriculum for the audit and assurance service lines, and monitoring compliance with that framework.Design and implementation of the relevant aspects of RSM Australia's System of Quality Management.Liaise with key stakeholders, including the Head of Audit and Head of Quality, to develop and monitor audit quality initiatives.Collaborate with teams to enhance compliance monitoring systems and establish policies to address non-compliance.Develop, facilitate and present training and self-study materials, including drafting of learning objectives, course materials, case studies) and practice aides by serving as content author and/or technical reviewer.Prepare and contribute to thought leadership materials, including articles, practice aids, and guidance statements that reflect current industry standards and practices.Participate in various monitoring activities to identify common quality challenges and development areas, including file reviews and targeted assessments.Engage in external outreach activities related to audit quality, including participation in industry events and regulatory discussions.Assist in RSM International projects related to audit or assurance as required, contributing expertise and insights.Support other service lines or external parties, such as Auditors General, in developing frameworks and best practices in accordance with APES 320.Essential EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Completed CA or equivalent.Essential DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES: Experience as a Manager or Senior Manager in External Audit.Extensive experience in the preparation and delivery of audit and assurance training.Ability to adapt content for both in-person and online delivery.Fluent and confident speaker and presenter.Good working knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing.Experience in audit quality activities including file inspections, regulatory reviews or similar.Excellent written English, including ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a readily understandable way to staff of varying experience levels.Ability to maintain high professional and ethical standards under pressure.Desirable: Experience in developing and implementing Systems of Quality Management.Experience with Caseware and/or RSM Orb.Knowledge and experience of instructional design.Interest in sustainability reporting and assurance.How To Apply

Salary Guide: $120,000 - $130,000 exclusive of superannuation.
