Selected Duties: In conjunction with the Executive Director People and Capability, this role will operate strategically to ensure people are key to the organisation's decisions delivered through the development and execution of the Institute's Strategic Plan and the Operational Plans of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department and the People Departments. Achieve legislative and regulatory compliance through leading the development, implementation and review of the Institute's health, safety and wellbeing management system and rehabilitation management system frameworks. Actively develop, promote, and manage wellbeing strategies for the organisation, building ownership and accountability of initiatives through engagement, education, and communication. Lead, coach, and manage a small team of health, safety, and wellbeing staff to produce quality outcomes and manage a HSW budget in accordance with Institute policy and procedures. ABOUT YOU Skills & Experience Post-graduate Degree level qualifications in Health and Safety or a related technical discipline, coupled with extensive leadership experience. Or lesser qualification with extensive health, safety and wellbeing management and leadership experience that is commensurate with the requirements of the role and related remuneration. Experience in leading and managing Health and Safety departments within medium to large sized organisations that deliver high quality services and being a point of expertise for an organisation. Member of a related professional organisation, for example, Australian Institute of Health and Safety. Member of Regional Safety, Health and Environment Group or willingness to participate.
