The Group Regulatory Change & Advocacy Chapter is responsible for influencing advocacy outcomes and facilitating regulatory change implementation across the CBA Group to ensure we have appropriate compliance arrangements in place to safeguard our customers and preserve public trust.
The role of the Manager will include gaining a detailed understanding of the regulatory change, preparing a detailed assessment including an interpretation of the new/amended requirements, determining the impact of the changes to CBA, supporting identification and appointment of the Regulatory Change Sponsor, drafting obligations, and working in partnership with BU/SUs to ensure that compliance arrangements and controls are in place prior to the compliance date.
Key responsibilities for this role include: Monitoring the pipeline for early identification of regulatory reforms and tracking actions in Jira. Providing Group-wide Guidance on Implementation of Regulatory Changes. Preparing regulatory change artefacts, including the Regulatory Change Analysis Report. Obligations drafting. Communicating regulatory change requirements and timeframes to impacted stakeholders. Recording and maintaining obligations data in the Group's obligations register. Communicating obligations data changes to key stakeholders. Providing inputs to various Regulatory Change Reports for senior management including the ELT and the Board. We're interested in hearing from people who have: Strong operational risk management / assurance / compliance experience in the banking or financial services industry. Technical knowledge of and the ability to transform complex legislation into simple, easy to understand language. Sound capability to analyse data and transform into key insights. Proven experience in compiling, preparing and writing reports to senior management and stakeholders. Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated capability in engaging with and managing stakeholders, including an ability to effectively challenge and work with resistance. Strong teamwork focus with excellence in driving results and delivering customer satisfaction. Legal background desirable.
